If there's a way to outsmart or hide things from parents, teens will find it. Especially when it comes to social media. Now, we've all heard of Instagram or "Insta." You can share pictures with friends and it's a free, fun app, but some teens want to feel more “free." And with that, there’s "Finsta" or "fake Instagram.”
Teens are making secondary Instagram accounts with restricted privacy settings so followers have to be approved. These private pages are filled with their drunken adventures, party pictures and all other things they wouldn't want on their real Instagram.
Because parents and school teachers are checking in now on Instagram, Finsta is the perfect front. Of course teens are so much cooler and so invincible, nothing bad could ever come out of this, right? Right! They know everything!
