New Jersey Victorious In Supreme Court Fight For Sports Betting (Video)
Posted by Maitlynn on May 15 2018
Back in 2011, New Jersey voters and legislation brought forward an amendment that would legalize sports betting and is now definitely celebrating after the Supreme Court recently ruled in favor of sports betting!

The decision overturns the 1992 federal law, the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act, that prohibited individual state authorization of sports betting. The law was deemed unconstitutional and now all New Jersey has to do is pass a couple rules and regulations and casinos across the state can participate!

Now you won't have to go to Atlantic City or Las Vegas to get your fix, no sir! You can just hop on over to the nearest casinio and blow all your money on the unpredictability that is the world of sports.

The American Gaming Association thinks it'll be a good thing and keep fans engaged but other officials fear it will corrupt the traditional and squeaky clean image of professional and college sports...yeah, sure. Legal gambling will be what ruins that...
