Another Autumn, another person whose neighbors think they are taking Halloween decorations "too far."
In Guthrie, Oklahoma, this man's Halloween decorations are being called things like, "Totally disgusting, and scary, and way out of control for the age limit of the kids on the street," by his neighbors.
Tyler Everest got the idea for his "grotesque" decorations on Pinterest so he went to Hobby Lobby and got a foam head, went to WalMart and got a cheap mask, then put the head and mask onto a shirt and stuffed jeans with pillows. He then covered it all in fake blood, wrapped it all in plastic and hung it from a tree.
Apparently it looks a little too realistic for some of the parents and kids in the neighborhood. Everest says he starts decorating in the beginning of the season, like in September, in order to better distribute the cost of going all-out decorating. He also said he will be making the other half of the yard less scary so if kids are afraid of the one side they can still trick-or-treat.
