United Airlines just can't catch a break these days!
First, they wouldn't allow two girls to board a flight because they were wearing leggings. Then, an elderly man was bloodied and dragged off a plane for refusing to give up his seat to a United employee. And now this. A couple was kicked off the flight that was supposed to take them to their wedding in Costa Rica!
The bride and groom claim that they got kicked off a United flight just for switching seats on a half-empty plane. Michael Hohl and his fiance Amber Maxwell say that they were removed from the flight from Houston to Costa Rica because they tried to switch seats after someone else had taken their seats and fallen asleep. Instead of waking the person up, they sat three rows ahead of their original seat. But United said that this was a big no-go, because they had unknowingly picked an "Economy Plus" row without realizing it, which is considered an upgrade from their original ticketed seat. So Marshalls boarded the flight and removed the couple!
They eventually made it to their destination a day later than anticipated.
