When you think of things that can snap you out of a coma, chances are you are thinking of something kinda speedy that would help. Maybe it's caffeine, maybe it's pure adrenaline. But we are guessing that you wouldn't assume that a hardcore sleeping pill would be the right treatment for being a vegetable. Well, it turns out that a sleeping pill was the perfect treatment to bring a man out of a 7 year coma.
Ayanda Nqinana was in a terrible, near deadly car crash in 2005 that left him in a coma. He would lay there in the bed for 7 years, being visited frequently by his loving wife, Nomfundo. Nomfundo insisted doctors give him a sleeping pill, after hearing that it could help with brain trauma patients. Shortly thereafter, Nqinana woke up and said his first words in over 7 years. He looked at his wife and said "Hello Mamma."
