United's PR disaster just keep rolling along!
First, they wouldn't allow two girls to board a flight because they were wearing leggings. Then, an elderly man was bloodied and dragged off a plane for refusing to give up his seat to a United employee. After that, a couple was kicked off the flight that was supposed to take them to their wedding in Costa Rica! And now, this. United has killed a big bunny. OK, that may be unfair, but it's kind of true.
Simon, a 3-foot-long, 10-month-old Continental Giant rabbit was on a flight from London's Heathrow Airport to Chicago's O'Hare Airport. But upon arrival in the Windy City, Simon was found dead. Simon's handler said that the rabbit was healthy and in tip top shape before the flight, in which he was to be delivered to his new owner. He was the offspring of a rabbit that currently holds the Guinness World Record for being the largest rabbit, and Simon could have potentially surpassed that size.
United said that they were "saddened to hear this news" and were working closely with the rabbit's owner.
