Son Drives 600 Miles To Listen To Game 7 With His Father At His Grave (Video)
Posted by Brandon on November 04 2016
Wayne Williams made a pact with his dad going back to when he was just a kid. When the Cubs made it to the World Series, they'd listen to the games together. Unfortunately, though, Wayne's father passed away in 1980, before that came to fruition.  But Wayne still kept his word.

On Wednesday, Wayne drove 600 miles from North Carolina to Indiana to listen to Game 7 at his father's grave. Wayne Williams Sr. was a lifelong fan of the Cubs, something he had passed on to his son. After the win, Wayne placed a flag with a big W next to his dad's headstone and said "We did it." Certainly a touching, but bittersweet moment for the family.
