What is the biggest disaster that could possibly happen at a festival solely dedicated to the game Pokemon Go? The app crashing repeatedly, that's what!
Over the weekend, thousands of people gathered in Chicago for a Pokemon Go festival to celebrate the app's one year anniversary. It was supposed to be the biggest gathering of Pokemon Go players ever, with tens of thousands expected to attend. Tickets sold out in just 30 minutes. But unfortunately, there were problems right from the start.
Some people couldn't get the app to open at all. And those that could connect said that the app was extremely laggy. So all in all, it was pretty much a failure of an event. The company behind the app worked on the connection issues all day, but eventually issued refunds for people in attendance. Well, there's always hope for the 2 year anniversary of the app!
