Imagine getting pulled over for a minor traffic infraction and getting an anal cavity search. That's exactly what happened to David Eckert of New Mexico back in January. When he got out of his car, the police officers claimed that he was standing in a way that made them think he was "clenching his buttocks". They brought in a drug-sniffing dog and the dog alerted them to a possible hit, so Eckert was placed in custody while the officers got a warrant to search his butt.
They took Eckert to the hospital, where doctors refused to do the cavity search. Not satisfied, they then took him to a SECOND hospital where doctors had no problem performing the search. They first x-rayed him, then gave him a cavity search and numerous enemas. He then had to defecate in front of them.
Not surprisingly, this didn't sit well with David Eckert, who has hired a civil rights lawyer and is most likely going to end up with a boat load of cash because of this.
