You've probably seen political arguments on Facebook where Donald Trump supporters are called 'racists' or 'bigots' because if they voted for him, they must be condoning all the bad stuff he says. Well, Jon Stewart says that's WRONG. He was on "CBS This Morning" yesterday, and he said that if liberals want America to stop painting Muslims and other minorities with a broad brush, it's hypocritical to do that to Trump voters.
"I thought Trump disqualified himself at numerous points. But there's now this idea that anyone who voted for him has to be defined by the worst of his rhetoric. There are guys in my neighborhood that I love, that I respect, that I think have incredible qualities, who are not afraid of Mexicans, and not afraid of Muslims, and not afraid of blacks. They're afraid of their insurance premiums. [Liberals] hate this idea of creating people as a monolith. 'Don't look at Muslims as a monolith. They are individuals and it would be ignorance.' But everybody who voted for Trump is a monolith, is a racist? That hypocrisy is also real in our country."
