One Florida woman is bound and determined to go on a cruise, even if it means dealing with Hurricane Matthew, which at this point is still a Category 4 hurricane!
Apryl Stinson planed this getaway with her mom, daughter and aunt after her divorce from her husband of 20 years. But now, because of the hurricane, the plans may be put on hold. As of now, the cruise line has not canceled the trip. The cruise costs Apryl $1,600 for the tickets, but they will not be refunded any money unless the cruise line cancels, even though they have trip insurance.
The cruise is scheduled to leave from Miami and head to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.
Apryl has been looking forward to this cruise for two years, since it was booked just after her divorce. And sure, it would be a bummer if they didn't get to go on their trip, but it sure beats the alternative: dying in a freakin' hurricane while at sea.
