As we get closer to Christmas, towns far and wide will be hosting parades to show their Christmas spirit. But with every Christmas fanatic, there is at least one an Ebenezer Scrooge. For one float on its way to a parade in Alabama, a Grinch made sure that the float would never make it.
Jeananne Jackson, the creator of the float, said that a car in front of the float flicked a cigarette out the window, turning the float into a raging inferno! Jackson said that she and a few others had put $1,000 worth of donated supplies into the float and now, no one would get to see it. The good news is that they were able to salvage some parts of the float to take to the parade. And someone also started a GoFundMe campaign for the group that Jackson is a member of.
Jackson said that they were using the float to try and raise money for Lost and Found Pets of Huntsville/Madison County and that the donations went towards spaying and neutering pets.
