Asphalt paver Burt Clapper has a bumpy road ahead of him! In this fantastic investigative report, we find out just how "awful" his customers are and that's why he can't ever finish work for them. This story has so many elements that make it just so off-the-wall and great! There's a passionate reporter, sarcasm, a strange man named Clapper and sweet old ladies. Clapper leaves his work sites completely unfinished and sometimes unsafe because he feels his customers are not treating him right. He claims some called too much or always claimed the weather was too bad.
Then comes the interview with Clapper where the reporter downright calls him out and drags him through the dirt. When Clapper claimed the weather was "too bad" to work, the reporter looked up the weather and learned that it was perfect working conditions. Clapper then complained about the customers and said, "I don't have to deal with this.” The reporter responded by saying, "Well actually it is your job" and pointed out he screwed customers out of their money. Next, the reporter showed Clapper's obvious criminal record of working under false pretenses, lawsuits and not repaying his customers.
Clapper then got frustrated with the "accusations," got into his truck and made sure to throw in some business promotion by giving his phone number on camera. Well Clapper, clap for yourself in Fox 2's Hall of Shame, but don't clap for the work you do.
