A Five-Year-Old Girl Was Suspended From School For Playing With A 'Stick Gun' (Video)
Posted by Steve on March 30 2017

How many times have we railed against stupid "zero tolerance" policies in schools?  About a million.  Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be making any difference because a five-year-old girl in Hoke County, NC has recently been suspended because of one of these policies.

Five-year-old Caitlin Miller and her friends were playing a game of "King and Queen" on the playground at lunch.  Caitlin picked up a stick shaped like a gun to "protect" the King and Queen, and that's when teachers stepped in and took her to the Principal's office.  Caitlin was suspended for violating policy 4331, which states:

"Hoke County Schools will not tolerate assaults, threats or harassment from any student. Any student engaging in such behavior will be removed from the classroom or school environment for as long as is necessary to provide a safe and orderly environment for learning."

Are you f**king serious?  It was a stick, not a gun!  The kids were just playing and using their imagination!  Ridiculous.

Caitlin's mother is now asking that the school apologizes for her suspension, claiming that she has now been alienated from her friends and other students.  We won't hold our break waiting for that apology.
