Over the summer, 16-year-old Logan Moore began building a roller coaster in his backyard all by himself using skills he's learned in his carpentry class!
"I've always been interested in building and I always had a fascination with wood and wanted to build something... I love riding them, I love the mechanics of them, I mean I've just always loved them and I always wanted to build one,” Moore said.
His friends, family and neighbors were all thrown for a loop when they saw Moore working tirelessly, sometimes until two or three in the morning, to build the roughly eight and a half feet tall coaster.
“We were gone for three weeks and when we pulled up into our driveway my husband said, ‘I think we have a roller coaster going up in our backyard!’,” said his grandmother.
We hope when it's time for college applications, schools are just as impressed by the coaster and also when can we come to take a ride?
